Deputy Defense Secretary on Emerging Technologies. Kathleen Hicks, deputy defense secretary, unveiled the Replicator Initiative to compete with China. The program is aimed at spurring innovation and the mass production of what the deputy secretary said would be “multiple thousands” of autonomous systems within the next two years.
