SOME people believe God created the world, and all the plants, animals and humans, in 7 days; Book of Genesis

SOME people believe evolution and natural selection gave rise, over hundreds of millions of years, to our natural world of plants, animals and fungii. Ref: On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life, Charles Darwin (1859)

Invasive species [Machine intelligence] could invade and affect the dominant species on earth [Homo sapiens] adversely, causing ecological, environmental, or economic damage… and chaos, destruction, death and extinction.

BEWARE: Machine intelligence is an alien species in development and could supersede Homo sapiens.

NATURAL SELECTIONS (OBVIOUSLY) FAVORS INTELLIGENCE.

Invasive species, typically introduced by Humans into local habitats, create chaos and destruction in local ecosystems and are scientifically extremely well understood, including 1189 known species:

Invasive Species

An invasive species is an introduced species to an environment that becomes overpopulated and harms its new environment.[2] Invasive species adversely affect habitats and bioregions, causing ecological, environmental, and/or economic damage. The term can also be used for native species that become harmful to their native environment after human alterations to its food web. Since the 20th century, invasive species have become a serious economic, social, and environmental threat worldwide.

Invasion of long-established ecosystems by organisms is a natural phenomenon, but human-facilitated introductions have greatly increased the rate, scale, and geographic range of invasion. For millennia, humans have served as both accidental and deliberate dispersal agents, beginning with their earliest migrations, accelerating in the Age of Discovery, and accelerating again with international trade. Invasive plant species include the kudzu vine, Japanese knotweed, and yellow starthistle. Invasive animals include European rabbits, domestic cats, and carp.

Invasive species can affect the invaded habitats and bioregions adversely, causing ecological, environmental, or economic damage.[74]

  • Provides lists and information for species declared invasive, noxious, prohibited, or otherwise harmful or potentially harmful. Information is organized by geographical location, covering the U.S.
  • In the U.S., there are many Federal agencies and State agencies involved with regulating invasive species, and there is not an accepted standard for regulating all types of invasive species in all geographic areas.
  • We have included the following resources for information purposes only and should not be considered complete, or legally binding. Please note resources we include may not have current information based on the current regulations. For further information pertaining to actual regulations, please refer directly to the regulating agencies as each State has different statutes and administrative rules that may dictate its role in the management of invasive species.
